Our first 'Designer Spotlight' belongs to...

Eden's Bouquet! This is one of my very favorite clothing lines for children. Each exquisitely designed and crafted piece is an amazing work of art! They are very romantic and classic in style and often made from luxurious imported fabrics. They sell only to brick and mortar stores and are sold by a select few stores who also have websites. Due to the fact that stores have to mark their items up quite a bit to make a profit, Eden's Bouquet clothing is very hard to find on a great sale. BUT, here's a hint...if you find you love Eden's Bouquet as much as I do, visit their online shop EdensBouquet.com and click on their sale link. Many of their amazing pieces are discounted as much at 50% off! Some styles are now very limited in size, but there are many other gorgeous items to choose from! While you are there, be sure to check out the jewelry made to match their clothing line

Let me give you the best hint of all...Eden's Bouquet sells for a premium on ebay, meaning that if you buy an item on sale and wear it for a season (you must take very good care of it...no tumble drying, only line dry to keep it in excellent condition), you can very often resell it for more than you paid! Anyone who knows me knows that I am a big cheerleader for ebay. I buy designer clothes for my daughter, she wears them for a full season (again, I keep take the best care of them that I can) and then I often sell them for a profit (or at least break even so that her clothes are paid for from year to year)! I will go into that in detail in February for those of you who are interested in giving ebay a try, but were too nervous to do so. Believe me, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain

Redenvelope.com...if you aren't familiar with this site, it is a wonderful place to find something for the hard to buy for friend or loved one! It covers pretty much all price points and delivers high quality, unique items for all ages.

Trenditikes.com carries children's clothing for infants through 8 years of age along with the incredibly gorgeous and highly sought after Petunia Picklebottom diaper bags and clutches (that will be the topic of a post soon...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new line), toys and accessories. They have recently scaled down their inventory to a few boutique brands that are beloved and are great sellers. They have marked much of their fall inventory down already (it is a tad on the early side) and still seem to have a decent selection of sizes. They are very responsive to any questions that you may have and accept Paypal payments as well!

Pottery Barn Kids carries one of my very favorite items and they actually went on sale yesterday (they never go on sale)! If you have never felt the chamois pillow cases, fitted sheets and duvet covers (it comes in a changing pad cover as well), you are truly missing out! Once you try it, you will be hooked! They are perfect for children and adults alike. Talk about an amazing night's sleep! Intrigued? Check out the webite Potterybarnkids.com and search for "chamois". This will give you an idea of what is available. You can order online (check out their shipping prices first) or stop in the store to see what their selection looks like. If you are interested in something that is on sale online, but would like to purchase in store, be sure to print a copy of what you want and the price. Every now and then something will be on sale on line, but not in the store. If that is the case, the store will honor the online price if you show them your copy of the item. They have an amazing return policy (no time limit with original receipt) and have absolutely the most helpful sales force out there. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will offer to scan the country for anyone who may have it in stock and only charge you one shipping fee (around $6), even if your items are coming from multiple locations. They have beautiful, high quality items and all mix and match beautifully...even from one season to another!

The next few weeks will be a field day for people who love to get something amazing for very little money. Stores will begin their clearance sales and attempt to recover from the worst retail season since 2001.
